About SaunasNMore

We are a team of sauna enthusiasts, health researchers, and installation professionals who believe everyone deserves an honest answer to the question - which barrel sauna should I buy?

Our Mission

The barrel sauna market is booming, but good information is hard to find. Most review sites copy-paste Amazon descriptions and slap a rating on top. We do things differently. Our team has hands-on experience with barrel saunas - we have built them, installed them, sweated in them, and taken them apart to see what is inside.

Every product on SaunasNMore goes through our Sauna Points scoring system. This is a proprietary algorithm that evaluates material quality, value for money, feature completeness, and brand reputation. No manufacturer can pay for a better score. Period.

How We Test

Material Inspection

We evaluate wood type, stave thickness, joint quality, and resistance to moisture. Cedar gets the highest marks for a reason - it naturally resists rot, repels insects, and smells incredible when heated.

Heat Performance

We track heat-up times, temperature consistency at different bench heights, and how well the sauna holds heat with the door opened briefly. A good barrel sauna reaches 180F in under 45 minutes.

Build Quality

We check barrel band tension, door seal integrity, bench stability, and overall craftsmanship. Small details like drainage slopes and ventilation design separate good saunas from great ones.

Value Assessment

Price matters, but value matters more. We compare what you get for your money - included accessories, heater quality, warranty length, and long-term durability. A $4,000 sauna can be a better value than a $2,500 one.

Health Claims Policy

We take health claims seriously. Every mention of a health benefit on this site is reviewed by Dr. Maya Chen, our health editor with a doctorate in integrative health sciences. We only reference peer-reviewed studies from reputable journals like JAMA Internal Medicine, the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology, and similar publications. If a claim cannot be backed by solid research, it does not make it onto our site.

Affiliate Disclosure

SaunasNMore participates in the Amazon Associates program and may earn commissions from qualifying purchases. This is how we keep the lights on and the saunas hot. Our affiliate relationships never influence our Sauna Points scores or editorial recommendations. We have turned down paid placement offers because they conflicted with our editorial standards.
